Linden Lab recently announced they are going to "grandfather" the $95 Homestead price until July 1, 2010.

That $95 price is already a 27% price hike over the original agreement. Such decision does not restore the goodwill of customers who lost their investments, hard work, sweat and creations to the intial decision-- a decision for which Linden Lab publicly blamed their customers (you're abusing the OpenSpace concept)-- and now announce was primarily due to financial concerns.
Elf Clan's response to this matter is presented on our blog site here:

Our response merely echoes and organizes the dozens of angry responses presented by customers on Linden Lab's own blogsite. The entire Open Space fiasco was one decision in which Linden Lab shot themselves in both feet. Their attempt at increased profits backfired, they lost the loyalty of thousands of customers, had the nerve to actually blame us, their customers, for the need to increase prices, and now try to present that they're doing us a favor by grandfathering a 27% price increase that was never warranted in the first place.
Thanks Linden Lab, but no thanks. All six of our Homestead sims will be fully closed by July 1, as initially decided. Loss of revenue to Linden Lab from our group alone: US$5,400 per year.
That's what management should have considered before you made this decision in the first place.
