Are there any metrics for identity verification in terms of mature parcels that have it enabled, and the percentage of active users who are verified?
I own a store that should have identity verification enabled, however, when I switch it on I stop seeing sales, which implies the majority of my customers aren't identity verified.
However, since both my accounts are verified, and all my friends are, I actually have no idea what it's like to try and go onto land that requires identity verification. How user-friendly is it? How easy is it to verify there and then? If it's nice and easy to verify from in-world when you hit a barrier like this, then setting verification on my land shouldn't have a big impact, and should increase the uptake of verified users.
But metrics on current verification levels is a big one for me, are people actually doing it? Or is it something that LL have added because it's required for them, but which they're not pushing now that it's here. It seems that currently it makes no sense for business to enable it.

I have not verified yet and don't plan to. I do have payment info and a basic account, but that's it. (^_^)
I wander around the grid every day and almost always see something new. I've been using search less and green dots on the map more. I still stumble into "mature content" places once in a while without trouble... Maybe an IM here and there... But no threats of ARs or anything.
So far, I've never even accidentally found a place with age verification turned on. Actually... now that I think of it... I haven't even been ejected from a place in over a month now. I still NEVER go tall and I'm really meeting quite tolerant people everywhere I go lately. (^_^)
If there really is anyone using age verification in their region, they seem to have places that I'm just not interested in. (^_^)y

I don't think there are any real metrics yet, as LL has still not truly enabled the 'feature'. Nor are they enforcing it yet, naturally. Many, like me, are waiting for it to go live before taking any action.

I have tried to varify several times without succcess, so I gave up. I run 3 clubs in world and have no intention of setting varification on. If I can't verify, there must be plenty others in the same boat, and appart from which I would be denying myself access to my own land.

How user-friendly is it? How easy is it to verify there and then? It's reasonably reasonable, the dialog offers to take you to the verification web page. That only works on the newer clients that have the dialog added, older ones just yield an error message about missing information in alerts.xml. I doubt that anyone who's established will want to be the first to risk it except in a small limited way.

Thanks for everyone's comments so far! From: Viktoria Dovgal I've only seen a very few "real" places trying to use it, and those have been really quiet (read "dead" spots. I doubt that anyone who's established will want to be the first to risk it except in a small limited way. This is what I'm finding, I had consistent daily sales during the week, turned verification on for a few days (weekend, usually better sales) and got nothing, so turned it back off again, getting all my sales back. It seems like LL are going to need to put up incentives, as the businesses aren't going to enable the feature unless people are verified. But people aren't going to verify if they can go places without doing so. I'm not sure how well things will go down if LL suddenly decide that it's an ARable (and more importantly, punished) offence to have verification disabled. Unless they're just in this huge "testing" period for the feature in the hopes that over time enough people will turn it on that they can call it a live feature. I'm guessing that'll happen in about 600 years at the current rate

The way it's working now I doubt it wil become mandotary, I'm an estate owner, LL has my VAT number on file wich is my social securety number with a suffix but no matter what I try in the Identity verification page I simply can't identify and yes I am over the age of 18, far over it . And I can make a fair guess why it is failing, my goverment does not make my personal data public to anyone, they are not alowed, even the cops need permision to acces any data not already in their files.

there are still some bugs where even verified people are having trouble getting onto parcels restricted to verified only.

LL wanted to make 1.19.0 a mandatory upgrade but have responded to residents' concerns over problems with 1.19.0 and have delayed that at least until 1.19.1 is properly released.
So there are still people using 1.18 clients which don't have the parcel controls for age verification (and which give a file not found error rather than a "you need to verify" message).
I suspect that we won't here much from LL about age verification until they force everyone to move to a 1.19 viewer.
That said, there are still issues in the verification process (too many people either not being able to verify with valid data or being able to verify with false data) and the chicken and egg scenario mentioned by Haravikk.
Making it AR-able (and punishable) to have adult material on a parcel which isn't restricted to age verifieds only will be an interesting one to see how it works in practice. I'm pretty sure that it is still the case that non age verified accounts are only barred from the first 50m above ground level - so what is the situation with adult material above 50m (and don't forget the new Havok4 which is now just around the corner looks like it will extend the build ceiling from 750 to 4000m)

I tested a throw away alt verifying as Elvis. Tried another art just making shite up, I did have to be fairly accurate, ie. a real postal address and an SSN that was used in the same zip code. I don't remember anymore if name mattered.
