Inventory Loss Questions

I often have upset customers who have lost animations or other no copy items when trying to transfer them from their inventory to a HUD. Other customers have lost their HUD altoghether. Since yesterday's update, I've had 3 customers contact me with inventory loss issues. Two questions, 1) Is there a particular resource that I can point someone to who is experiencing inventory loss issues, like a page in the wiki? and 2) If you are noticing inventory loss after users attempt to move items in a particular way, can you provide a list of suggestions that I can pass on to my customers to avoid inventory loss?

My Chimera, along with about $L1500 worth of dances, shows up now as "Object is missing from database."

Now it's not really all that much money, perhaps $US 10 in all. So I suppose I just shouldn't mind, right?


But I do mind.

I know, it's terrible. It used to never happen. Well, it was rare for sure, the kind of thing I heard about once a month. It's been worse. There was an update maybe 6 months ago which was awful for inventory loss. It got better for a while but it was still common. Now, the last month, since the 1.15, it seems bad as ever.

OK I usually dont post or get involved with saying much about SL! BUT........
I have been playing SL some time now and have one question that Linden can't, won't or doesn't know how to help me with..... I have Ojects and Clothign Missing from Database they are shown to be there but are no longer accessable anyone know of a fix or why this is happening? I am bothered at what I am losing some I bought some I made WTF linden I run a 68000 person network spanning over 6 countries and have not had any issuses for over 8 months and when there is one is due to maintainance and nothing more get on the ball.

I have been the rounds on this one, and I have done all the stupid little fixes they say will or may work, to no avail. I have lost a lot of inventory, it's been months, it took them weeks to respond at all and when they did, other than one person on the inworld help chat, the only response I have gotten is "tough luck, TOS".

It should be clear they were dodging this all thru the meeting, did not respond to questions about it, other than one short one, where Corey could only say, again, "TOS".

I saw people posting in here about how LL thinks most of us are trying to pull one over on them, and frankly, if they said that, at least we would have a place to start, but they don't even say that. They simply say, Buyer Beware. No question or comment about compensation, amends or anything, ever. They will probably not budge on that one either. They have a habit of just ignoring things they don't want to hear, which is sad, and detrimental to their alleged goals.

We do not own anything in SL. Our money and objects can just disappear, and from what I've heard here on this forum, even your land if you try to sell it in the midst of one of their "errors".

What they did today was prove that they are not listening. They can spew all the "we're trying, rapid growth, read the Jira blablabla" they want, but what they really said was "screw customer service and accepting responsibility for mistakes we make".

Responsibility is more than just fixing the bugs so it stops happening. They keep records of our transactions, all of them. We know this. The stuff we lost could easily be verified and compensated for, for free in fact, as all they have to do is print their monopoly money right?

Apperently though, it does not matter, and hence, they get no more of my money. It's time to put the credit cards away, people, and spread the word, until they do more than just get us all in the same place so we can all have a spectacular display of everything wrong with SL.

That is ALL they did today.

I'm still curious how a HUD item I have has a "script missing from database in it" but the script still opperates as written.

I just can't upen it up to edit it (it's my own script).
