What ever happened to Project Open Letter? As I recal NOT ONE ISSUE raised in it has been adequately addressed. Every single problem has not only not been fixed, its getting worse and worse!!!

You mean you weren't fooled by the glad handing at the "town meeting" nominally addressing POL?

I was.

What were the exact issues raised? LL has been fixing a lot more bugs than they used to, and supposedly the new Windlight viewer has some performance enhancing features in it. So in theory, despite the addition of Windlight it should be faster overall. In theory.

Stability is something that LL are obviously struggling with at the moment, judging the number of network issues and rolling restarts.

The URL with the letter and signatures is available here:

The one issue from the original letter they've addressed fairly well is Find and the Friends List, which while not 100% reliable are much better. Remember when the Friends list was permanently offline? We've certainly improved in the area.

The other areas still desperately need attention, however.

I'm not suprised LL doesn't have a "fix every issue mentioned in project open letter" button. The problems aren't simple fixes. Come back in a year, then we can ask what's been done and what hasn't. Give them some time! :)

While I appreciate the complexity, and have been a long time supporter of Linden Lab, many of these problems have been issues for quite a few years. It isn't like they suddenly cropped up six months ago.

I think they're communicating a lot more and a lot better than they did prior to POL as well. It's not back and forth communication, the blog comments are turned off 85% of the time, but at least it's something.
