It was a great idea at the time, but like so many things LL does, they let the weeds and brush grow up unchecked, and now they can't even bushhog the place. Instead, it will have to be dozered.

It was a great idea at the time, but like so many things LL does, they let the weeds and brush grow up unchecked, and now they can't even bushhog the place. Instead, it will have to be dozered. .. or burned.. It didn't even work at the time. Ok, the first few threads were recognized and responded to, but my thread about "lets get the answers from town hall posted to the threads" both acknowledged and "yes! we will!" didn't actually get done. And then the forum became Linden Answers, only sans the Lindens and plus resident replies. |

Yeah, I agree its usefulness didn't last very long, but the concept itself wasn't too bad of an idea.

Not having town hall meetings decreases the value of the idea a bit.
![]() When the town hall meetings don't work right - the sound fails for voice meetings, the stream fails for the old style streamed voice, the sim gets full, the repeaters don't work, etc - that doesn't help this forum much either. _____________________

![]() Actually I really appreciate the sarcastic opening. The first place new forum users head when wanting to address Linden Lab directly is this place. ![]() Is there a SuezanneC fan club group? If not, why not? _____________________

I doubt I can mute/ignore people, it would be counter productive for a mod to do so. _____________________

SuezanneC runs a group sub-forum (such forums can be found here: /invalid_link.html), which makes her a moderator. If her posts bother you, you will have to resort to something often referred to as "self control" and not read her posts. Ok thats fine, but that does not give her the right to continue post junk and post like she has here. Self control? Well love after what is it 2 years now i have been SELF CONTROLED! But i had enough of this BS writing which i can`t Mute. Better yet i say let change the rules and only allow admin of sub area only have can`t be mutes. But onthe main forum they can be muted. They should not have this feature on them on other locations of the forum period. If this was last year she would have been banned . But this year rules change. What give her the adim right ( so ******* what) she has her own area on this forum THATS THATS AREA ! But on this main part of the forum she should not have the right to be mute proof! LOOK at this post? You call this constructive? Or even useful? On her part of the forum let her write what she wants? But on the main forum she should be like any other person here and ( that can be muted). "self control"? Well love i have had it 2 years of her **** I say thats "self control" on my part of having to deal with it............. Jillian Callahan I understand what your saying about patients, but in the case of this threads posters history. I say I not the only one who feels this way. All do repect Jillian and i do mean it. Thank you for remark you did. If i have offened you i am deeply sorry. Its not about you. But the starter of this piece of junk thread. Usagi |

(Edited out quote) That's the price of freedom, hon. By the way, I think your post could be construed as a flame on Sue, I'd suggest editing it. |

There are things that you can change, and things you can not change. This is one of those things you can not change. That's the price of freedom, hon. By the way, I think your post could be construed as a flame on Sue, I'd suggest editing it. Well If i know her she already reported to the others being a flame posting. As for editing Love its too late I bet she reported it more then 10 times...... |

Supose for a moment that you 'could' 'mute/ignore' one or more posters and couldn't see their responses/threads/posts.... Human curiosity would get the better of you as all you would see is the same as a one sided telephone conversation.
I could not think of anything more boring/sterile than just... one - style, opinion, religon, colour, design etc...... Human learning is by the blending of many many elements that can form/shape or even change your own opinions. Reading posts by someone you feel strongly about in disagreeing with, actually IS shaping your own opinions, giving perhaps validation to your own. As already stated, you don't HAVE to read anything you prefer not to. But posting your clear distaste for any individual on an open forum, may actually make other form their own opinions about you which maybe... unjust? _____________________

Here is a GM script I wrote so you can hide posts by whoever you want.
You will need to edit it, which is very strait forward. http://home.comcast.net/~mailerdaemon/vbposthider.user.js Time to lock this thread. _____________________
