I can't read the version number...it's encoded, space being %20 etc...

My main comment is that the update resulted in a very slow login screen.

It seems the background may be trying to to the old Vaio time of day
trip... =)

The back used to show a Windlight screencap...but now it's back to the old
island scene...but with time-based transitions.

I'm not sure if that new "coolness" contributes to the slow load or not.

Anyhow...I'm grateful for the development...but unhappy with the regressions.

...added...

Also, I noticed I don't hear any "flying" sounds. Other ambient sounds I
do, but not the flying "whoosh" sound. Maybe just me. =)

Cheers...some feedback...and hugs...for any LL folks who read this...

Yes the latest WL is now using the horribly slow web page login :(

Worse it appears that if the website errors out witn no connection, the SL client will crash.

Had a bout of 6 crashes in a row, some fast, some slow after getting an "unable to connect" message before it finally came up so I could log in. :(

Unfortuantely this is par for the course for their login web page and always has been. I virtually always was logged in before the splash screen came up. But now we have to wait...

30% FPS drop, no bugs fixed, new bugs added, everything you'd expect from an update .

Login page is a pain in the ass, and thats being nice.
Realistic water not longer works, worked perfectly fine every windlight release before this for me.

Only stayed logged in for a couple of minutes so cant really say much more than that. Living on the waterfront, and having the realistic water for so long now, losing it made sl feel terribly ugly for me all of a sudden :(

Yep, lost the flying sound here too.

Also, each time I click on the Land tab in the group info panel, instant crash.

What about the bug fixes announced on the blog then?

There were 202 open JIRA issues on the last release, there were 203 open JIRA issues after this release, no progress there.

The bugs that were addressed are ones that affect specific puters (certain vendor, certain kind of video card, certain driver versions, etc) which *should* get fixed for those people by all means, but broken functionality (things that work fine in the release viewer) seems to be consistently ignored.

I have gone back to the non-Windlight viewer until they get WL to where it's actually useable. I just can't handle the bugs any longer. Too often prims will seem to disappear, which is particularly annoying if it happens to be something you are working on at the time and have to relog to see them again.

Anyone else getting the 'Display failure.. C++ Runtime Library error'??

It happens after about a couple of hours of being inworld.

I've bished and bashed Vista into working great with the SL clients, got the latest drivers etc etc... Installed .NET Framework version 3.5 http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/netframework/aa569263.aspx nadda..

nVidia Graphics Card, specially configured and drivers to match, no issues there.
