any knowhow to get around First look just crashing on launch? The main viewer works fine.
When i run the First look version, I get a patch notes creen with info aboutt he version, and when i hit OK, for a brief second i see the SL log in window flash on, but then its just gone with SL crash reporter?
Running on a Macbook Pro, Core Duo 2ghz, 2gb ram, Radeon mobility X1600 256mb.

Maybe clean cache and all SL preferences (~/Library/Applications Support/SecondLife or something) cos I have exactly same hardware and works ok.

i tried cleaning a bunch of stuff there, cache, old First Look version configs and nothing ever worked to fix it, yet the main viewer never had a problem... i deleted the whole 'Second Life' folder in 'application support', and now it isn't crashing.

well i got it to work.. think i'll go back to the main client... this is bad, really low frame rates no matter what i put graphics optoins, objects that dont draw, and weird textures flashing around on all the stuff thats supposed to be shiney...
