No real problems with the viewer so far, except skyline

The viewer works fine here except in the case of the skyline. For example at night there are no stars, though it does get dark. There does seem to be a slight speed increase in texture rendering and better texture handling. Though I am not certain as more testing is certainly needed.

The only complaint I have is that after I installed the First Look Viewer the standard viewer was lagging giving me very large sim PING. Took me a few to find that for some reason it turned on the AGP setting in preferences. After I turned that off all is well again with the standard viewer (client).

Oh I did find it interesting that the cache setting now allows you to set a specific cache size rather than just selecting one of four sizes. This could be helpful in some circumstances though more testing is needed to determine that.

* Foot shadows are much darker than the regular viewer.
* The new "hold alt to get menu shortcuts" behaviour conflicts with "alt shows physical"

But getting 50-100% more frames per second is pretty nice.

For the heck of it turn your Draw distance up all the way. I am able to double the draw distance I normally have. but 512 is still pushing it for me but I remember not even being able to move around long ago at that distance.
