Hoorah to everyone in RL.
BOOO to everyone who thinks SL celebrations are in any way international or inclusive, and to Colossus in particular who didn't even bother to reply to my PM on the subject, despite having asked for comments. (On Xstreet the 'holidays' category lists 5 specifically-US, 4 Christian and 1 Jewish event. For the rest of us there is 'New Years', so I hope you use the Gregorian calendar, otherwise you're completely out of luck. Yes, I specifically suggest Diwali as the sort of thing that should be included, along with Eid and preferably all the big religions, at least. On the international side I've suggested Bastille Day and other 'national days' might help to balance the entirely US-centric view LL have of things.) |

Happy Diwali to our Hindu residents!
I have free Diwali lamps at the foot of my Eggphitheatre in Burning Life (I think the southwest ramp): http://slurl.com/secondlife/Burning%20Life-Quinn/214/21/24 Stop by and grab as many as you wish. They're fullperm. _____________________
