I'm sure some where in the vast forums there is a thread about this.
I just bought a new PC, before I was on XP. I know have Vista. For some reason I can not run SAM broadcaster on Vista. I can download it and the moment I close and reopen SAM, I get a database error. It will not open. I have heard others have been having the same problem with Vista. Is there anyone out there that has found the solution to this problem!?! Im going to be a starving DJ pretty soon lol
Please help or drop me a NC or IM online or on here

Cas Have you tried opening SAM with administrative privileges or using the XP compatibility mode? |

Are you using MYSQL 5.0? If yes, then uninstall SAM and MYSQL and install SAM again. When it asks for your datatbase choose firebird and see if that data base will work.

Yip uninstall it and use "firebird" as the DB, also sometimes when it starts it doesnt open, but shows the icon in the taskbar clicking that will maximize the application.

Does firebird work with Vista? I was under the impression, from the Spacial Audio website, that it's not compatible.

I'm using SAM fine with MySQL in Vista (64bit) also used to use 32 bit.
Make sure MySQL is not being blocked by Windows firewall (or any other firewall you have) and also make sure the MySQL service is running on the PC.

SAM4 has its issues. Are you on SAm4 or SAM3?.
Sometimes your MYSQL database will not start because of your firewall or because Second Life and many programs are running. You can start a instance of MYSQL by following the directions below:
START AN INSTANCE OF MYSQL
Go to START then PROGRAMS and then MYSQL and start a install. You will get a box with a NEXT and CANCEL key.
when re-installing:
1-click NEXT
2-RECONFIGURE
3-Standard
4-NEXT
5-create anonymous
6-and un-check the top one
7-You: execute
Then try your SAM again.
