I'm buying a new laptop for SL cause my HP Pavillion V6000 is a piece of crap. So i searched Dell and found the M1530, with 128MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 8400M GS and thought I'd ask before I buy. Would it work SL easily or should i keep looking? And would it burn up?

I don't have experience with that exact model, but I have SL running on another model:
Model: Dell XPS M170
CPU: 2.13Ghz Intel Pentium
RAM: 2GB
VCard: GeForce Go 6800 Ultra (256MB)
With 1.19 and prior, it seems to lockup the computer fairly regularly. With 1.20 though, it seems to run fine.

Might want to go for a different mfg of puters
ya need at a min a 8600 gforce for the shadows that will be coming out and a min of 1gig DDR2 ram and 256mb for the video
That way you wont have to upgrade at the end of the year

I just got a desktop XPS 420 to replace my HP dv6000 laptop. It runs SL fine @1.6ghz duo core AMD, 2gigs ram, and GeForce 7200go 256mb.
I would not ever run SL on another laptop that was not a gaming laptop specifically. I also would not buy a laptop to run SL on with only 128mb video card and/or less than 2gigs of ram.
