I apologise in advance for this, but I really do have to ask this...
What the F*** is wrong with some people???
Today, for the second time, I have been accused of being someone's alt. account, and that they were the person controlling me...
Now, how the F***ing H**l can I explain to the thicko's out there that..
1) I am MALE...
2) I am NOBODIES ALT. ACCOUNT
3) I am AGE and SEX verified by LINDEN LABS
4) The person who I share a skybox with, is an RL friend and they live in a DIFFERENT part of the country to me...
I have tried to be very polite about this because I DO NOT want to get banned, or be stopped from seeing my fiancee...
Now I have copied the conversation I had with this person, where they accused me of being someone else...I have also told them about this...
Is there anything else I can do, without making a complaint???

Indeed, why getting so worked up over it? Ignore them and if they irritate you, mute or even ban.

This age and sex verified me as both have all my personal details on them...I did this as the age verification page does not work... It would be nice to mute or ban, but this person, who accused me today, is the manager of a really nice club and a lot of my friends go there, including my fiancee and room mate... |

I had a long running joke with Alt Aaybe, when I would post here (and say in world) who are you?
From which people deduced that I was he. This amused us both, him being a man and me being a woman this is some going isn't it. What's wrong with some people is that they are assholes and this is the internet. My response to them is largely the same as persistant types (mercifully few now I am partnered) aka of lol didn't stop it then just "penguin" infuriates. LOL. Penguin. _____________________

The nastiest allegation against me was that I was one of SL's most notorious ad cutters. This was made in group IMs of one of SL's top conservation groups by a fellow member. It was totally untrue and unfounded. It wasn't that they thought I had an alt., they were accusing meee, Conifer, directly.

I would say if this person is spending so much energy making accusations....he/she probably has a bit of a control issue and I wouldn't want to be associated with their club anyway. There's plenty of cool places in SL to hang out. When I first started SL I met a great group of people at a fun Blues club....we were all quite loyal for a long time until it became increasingly apparent that the club owner was a control freak and a slime ball (he spent a LOT of time trying to manipulate avatars that he believed were young girls, into meeting him IRL) The gang I hung out with got pretty disgusted with this guy and we all moved on and found new places to hang out. If this person is that much of a drama freak....you might want to consider muting and moving on now...before he/she really starts to cause more serious problems for you and your friends. Loyalty to a club is only worth it if the owner deserves it.  Just my thoughts. |

why do you care if they think you are an alt? being an alt is not against the tos. its not against the law. what're they going to do? is being called 'an alt' something like being called -- well, any number of racial slur names? i just don't get what the big deal is. oh wait... did they somehow insult your sexuality? i dunno, the worst thing i think can happen is, you won't be allowed to vote in some contests if someone thinks you're just an alt stacking votes to your main account. |

Ultimately, who cares if they think you are an alt? And if you think about it, everyone in SL®™ is an alt of a RL person. Well you are, I am unsure of my RL existance.
