Is it just me or have any of you noticed that the Lindens arent even allowing comments on blogs anymore?
I mean, a blog is not only for news, but they have the comment feature to express your oppinion accordingly. However these days, Lindens leave the comment feature off unless it's good news.
If you see a blog post saying 'Search Feature', comments will be open for people to discuss happily about the feature, but if there is something like 'Problems with Search' 'Login Failures' ect, they will leave the comments closed. I guess they are sick of the critical atitudes going on around that area, or maybe they simply just feel like it isnt needed for comments on the Secondlife problems.

It just feels like our oppinions are being boxed out is all...

Those who run a private company are not dictators. They are under no obligation to allow you to post a response. Why do you want to read the usual rantings from the same individuals who post things that have nothing to do with the topic mentioned anyway?

I have never seen a company as open about their operation as LL is. You'd think that would be a benefit.

Never said they were dictators, I said picking and choosing only good blogs is dictitorial in my oppinion. There isn't anything wrong with it, I just feel like it locks the resident's oppinions out is all. And I want to hear the rantings, because I like to hear the other oppinions on their opperation, and I would like to express my own.

And thanks for telling me to get over it. I think I feel better about myself now. I just cracked the shell of an open minded person, now I can be more like you.

I'm not trying to argue either, Joker. We've heard this brought up in these threads before. I guess my problem is that I see it as such a non issue. I can go to thousands of company websites and see no place for people to leave comments about what jackasses the people who run it are. LL allows it. They even allow it in plenty of blog postings that some will find negative, such as the one about no longer allowing banks. The ones you mention, such as problems with search and login failures are simply technical issues that really aren't worthy of comment.

Was my "Get over it" a bit juvenile and harsh? hmmm, maybe. Personally, however, I'd prefer to see LL stop allowing blog comments altogether. People don't appreciate how open they are, it merely gives them a sense of entitlement.

Have you noticed the peopel allowed to post in closed Linden posting are only PR the game game in a positive form only? This alone tells people they are trying to Show a positive all is rosey and great on sl so the unknowing companies can will come and waste.Opps i mean spend money buying islands............

funny, they posted an annoncement about the forums going offline for a few hours (more like 30 mins said and done), I saw plenty of complaints there, made a few there too (and some kudos)... and when they made a post regarding grid usage of Megaprims, not only did they invite comments, but they kept a thread in the forums to invite extended commentary on the issue to overcome the comment limit in the blog...

yes sometimes they close off the comments on things they think input won't help with... that's a business decision to cut down on noise pollution when nothing a comment will add might help... probably a good choice on there part.

I have never posted a comment on the blog. By the time i get to them, usually after the link has been posted in the forum and has run on for quite a while, the unhappy morons who decide to complain about everything LL does have already filled it up with hate notes that i can't be bothered. Some people have a right to complain and have decent arguments, but often there are people who just post crap and have a go just because they can.

I am sure all is forgiven Bradley, everyone has their off days. I hope RL cuts you some slack and gets easier for you.
