I allow people to rez objects in my park for 90 mins, then it is returned to them. About the time of the rolling restarts the other day a guy was practicing building here, his prims are gone but the about land-objects-list owner key shows 28 of his prims still here. Question one... how do I request a region restart? (that might fix it, maybe?), I couldn't find it on any of the web sites pages. Question 2, if a restart doesn't work... on the same object tab there is a Refresh List and Return objects key, it is logical that one would just highlight the name of the owner of the objects and click return objects, but I have screamed "Ohhhh my gawwwwwwd!" too many times after accidental deletions or returns to just take this for granted, does it only send back the highlighted persons objects? I almost feel silly asking this but I prefer looking a bit silly over banging my forehead bloody on my keyboard. TIA

Hi Shez,

Highlighting the individual's name and clicking the 'Return Objects' button next to the 'Refresh List' button is the way to go as you assumed. This will return only that persons objects.

If you find that it doesn't work then I'd suggest you submit a support ticket to have LL take care of the issue.

As to why his objects haven't autoreturned, is your land set to group? And is he a member of that group? (even though you state his objects are actually gone, it is so easy to lose them there very well may be some at odd coordinates, up very high for example)

Yes, it is set to group and he isn't in it, I turned off surface patch rendering on the Client menu and searched high and low, his stuff is really gone. Thanks for the quick response and letting me know that the whole park won't poof when I attempt to return the phantom objects (LOL)

No problem.

And depending on the size of your land it can be a real pain in the rear to track down missing prims sometimes, they may very well be tiny, who knows :-)

A quick update... I used the return option on the object tab and they did poof off of the objects list, something I noticed that I've seen before is all 28 of the ghost objects were selected\sat upon, we have had ghost prims before and they do always seem to be sat upon.

Prims/items that are either selected or have an avie sitting on them are also exempt from auto-return (until they're deselected or the last avie stands up) which is why they stuck around and had to be manually returned.
