Since the asset server expansion it seems easier and safer to rez, but has everything slowed down?

Seems marginally faster, but a shedload more reliable...

BUT general lag (walking, talking, etc) seems to be worse.

I think LL is doing some hanky-panky with their network (internal, not ISP), in order to try to improve things. Naturally, since it's LL, things have to get worse before they get better. That way the itty-bitty increase is noticed more.

Of course, this is only half-baked theory on my part, so pay no attention to the girl behind teh curtain.

I wondered if SL were tinkering too...since the Big asset server fandango, everything for me is soooooo much slower..I havent changed my settings and they were all reduced greatly to optimise the speed ...now when i land anwhere everything is greyed out for ages...my clothes and ME take a long while to load up , and each time i TP , upon landing im ruthed..i and my partner sort of get disconnected for brief seconds.then we're back...

Its not been a F.A.B few days really...i so hope it improves...I'll be positive...and say...im SURE it will

I'm not convinced it has a made an iota of difference. The only thing I have noticed is that when I buy items I sometimes get a message that the asset server didn't reply in a timely fashion.

Unfortunately this message appears after my money has gone!

I've noticed that my mainland home seems to be more prone to stuck download queues since the upgrade. Dunno if that's related to what they did - it just seems to be happening more often... It does eventually recover but it's a pain when happens.
