no reflections :(

Hi

after downloading the windlight update, i have noticed i dont have any reflections on my water.. it jsut looks blank liek the normal viewer...
but in my settings, it is set to have reflections..
before the update, i had reflections, i didnt chnage any settings, but now my water is flat..
anyone else got this.. or know how to get my pretty water back?

i would show a picture of my settings and view, but i dunno how to upload them here.. sorry..

i have done a complete uninstall and reinstalled a new download but it's still not working properly..

*cries* i want my pretty water back

Sorry, I don't have an answer. I run Windlight on an AMD/Vista machine nVidia 7600 GTS. I last updated drivers about 3 weeks ago. It is working ok for me. I know that does not help you any, but at least it bumps the post for you.

i have also noticed it wont save my settings either.,. every time i relog, i have to set them again liek it was a freshi install

I've mentioned in First Look threads that even on a brand new quad-core comp with otherwise superb performance, I don't get any reflections although all the check-boxes on the UI and environment panels are opened up for making selections, which I did. (On my laggy old comp they are greyed out).

Checked just now with a quad-core Mac Pro with the 512 MB ATI X1900 video card, and the newest Windlight ran fine for me. All the reflections were there, while I was operating on maxxed out graphics settings.

I see reflectoins fine.. even set up another water setting lastnight for super-high-gloss reflections.

I run at max settings, draw distance to 200 approx, with a quad core processor, good graphics card, good monitor.. everything is good lol

i jsut dont understand why they have suddenly stopped working for me as soon as i instal this updaye..
and as for the settings not being saved... whats with that?
i have never had this much trouble with windlight before..

if it was jsut the water.. i'd still use it, but nbo way am i gonna redo my settings everytime i login.. pfff
it also syas clearing cache everytime i login.. never noticed that before, should it be saying that if i havent asked it to clear my cache?

Maybe your Avie was bitten by a vampire when you weren't looking and you have no reflection?

First, completely uninstall SL Windlight. By completely, I mean even digging around in the Documents and Settings and getting rid of the folders there by manual deletion. Then, reinstall SL. That should solve the non-saving settings, because some file or other got completely corrupted and SL can't rewrite or write to it.

have jsut tried this.. i uninstalled the main viewer and the windlight viewer... cleaned up my pc with some maintenance...
reinstalled main viewer.. all my settings were still there.. (i'm sure my settings are meant to be default after a clean install), reinstalled windlight.. settings weren't there, so i set them all and rebooted.. wooohoo.. my settings were saved...
rebooted again.. jsut to be sure... settings were back to default again.. and it still says clearing cache when it loads sl up...
sav ed settings... was testing to see if it only clears them when i clean cache.. i DEFINITELY DID NOT click the clear cache button this time, when i loaded this time, it still said clearing cache and my settings were AGAIN set to default...

thinkk i should jsut give up and hope the next update is ook...

i have also tried to update my graphics card, apparently i have the latest version..

never been so annoyed with sl as i have been today

grrrr.. i have also jsutr discovered it does the same thing with the RC viewer.... the opnly one i can get it to keep the settings on is the main viewer...
