Does anyone know the shape to purchase to obtain the Skins sold at Naughty? I bought an Alina skin and couple Hayley shapes but can't seem to get them to look right..

Can someone help?

Hi Charisse, if you look up the properties for the skin, you will find the creator who if you IM, may tell you if the shape is for sale.

Frankly though, it's the shape that defines one Alina from another and for many of us, one of the most enthralling exercises is adjusting ones shape. There are many combinations of sliders that will work aesthetically for any one shape so it's not really the Holy Grail. Try it, it's fun. You can always pull out one of the default avatar shapes from the Library folder if you get into a real mess.

Hey that's my middle-name! :p

Seriously though, unless you (can) buy both the shape and skin as seen on the ad, and leave them entirely unmodified, you may never achieve the exact look.

I personally spent ages tweaking my shape when I was new, walked around with a freebie skin for months until I recently finally found a skin that was close enough to what I wanted.

Once I'd found the skin, I found the shape needed adjusting again  Has only taken 10 months ;)

It's hard to get your look just right. Perhaps the designers will help you out if you ask? I know there are shape and skin makers out there that will tweak things for you. IM the designers and ask, can't hurt to try :)

Good luck :)

Lol Thanks Sally!! I just find it such a pain.. I've spent a fortune on various skins now.. Just me being extremely fickle and difficult!! ;)

Guess I'll have to try and tweak the shape then.. Just a question, Shape purely defines only the shape of the body right? The abs shades on my torso are defined by the Skin?

Damn.. see.. toldya I'm silly.. lol :)

yes, the skin defines the abs....well, to a point of course. :-)

You may want to check out Polly Pavlova's store. She sells shapes and skins for all types. You can buy one with out the other, or both together for a reasonable price.

As Sally says, you find the shape to fit the skin. Finding a skin to fit the shape could be astronomically expensive and never even get there.
Something I've spotted more and more are places that sell shapes only. No skin and no mention of the skin they are modelling. Ludicrous.
A Hayley shape is likely only going to look perfect on the Hayley Skin. And something to be wary of; not all commercial shapes are modifiable!

Yeah guess so.. Guess I have to decide on shape before skin. Just don't understand why won't they just sell skin and shape together.. or at least have that option available..

Anyway, I just saw some awesome looking skins from Celestial Studios via the website.. Can't wait to go back after work to try some demos.. There goes my L$!!! I've spent so much on skin already!! ARGGGGHHHhhhhh.... :(

I love my CS skins. I've looked at several of the other top-recommended skins...while some of them are very nice, I just haven't found anything that's enough of an improvement to justify spending the money.

Some makers do sell both shape and skin. But they tend not to be the top skin makers. And I'm not convinced that buying a commercial shape is the best route to take, anyway. Just start with Ruth and twiddle those sliders. It might take several sessions. I tweaked my shape, off and on, for two or three weeks until I was finally satisfied.

I buy on impulse, too. But never, never again with skins. The first ones I bought far too quickly. I thought at the time they were great, but when I compare them with what I have now, they look utterly hideous. I don't know what I was thinking!

ALWAYS try the demo skin. And it's a good idea to get the demo, then keep trying it on for a couple of days, under different lighting, with different shape tweaks, comparing it to your other skins, and so on. Then, when you're REALLY sure, go back and purchase the actual skin.

Looks like she has that skin.

Skin: Alina (naughty)

Shape: Haley (naughty)

New players tend to mix up shape and skin a lot when describing them.

If shape were named "body" it would be probably less confusing.

I think the shape used in those Alina skin ads is Lost Therian's female shape - and I am pretty sure it is not for sale.

It would be possible to replicate it with some work, but then you'd look like a walking "Naughty Skins" ad. lol.

Absolutely!!

Charisse, don't you want to be Charisse the avatar and not someone else's avatar?
I think you got the order wrong too. Skin first, then find the shape to fit. Your shape. Charisses shape.

I see hundreds of the freebie CS Passport Malibu skins in-world. A few are difficult to tell apart probably cos of the 'Ruth' shapes they haven't played with but there are some very convincing taller, shorter, stouter and skinnier 'sisters' .. each unique.

I'd say if you even remotely like your Alina skin still to just try those sliders. It can be very rewarding. I made a short, cuddly blonde which I was quite happy with but by fluke found a skin (Panjen Joy) that set her off perfectly for me. I thought she looked better than the model that sold me it!!

Lovesssssss my Haley skin. I bought the shape too just for an alternative to my other shape, which is a hybrid of a shape I bought, and a face I found and tweaked myself.

I always recommend to people to mod their shapes if they can. Otherwise we have a world of clones walking around.

Now that someone has mentioned it I bet exact copies of the Alina/Dante shapes would be a hit.

Not really ethical to make though. But a hit, yeah.

Apologies to the OP, ignore my first comment.

I wouldn't mind being a walking Naughty ad. For skin, anyway. My shape is custom made by me, after hours of tweaking. The skin is all Naughty - I have both Alina and Zoe. Of course, mileage will vary among people, but I think that they are excellent and I love the fact that they are moddable.

I wore Linden Skin for some time, and then the "skin" that was given to me just had parts, no real coloring except for what I felt was a clownishly made up face (which I summarily deleted). I tried on the Alina skin and almost cried at how incredible my av looked. I have since bought some of the Zoe skins and they are incredible too.
