Can't log in. Starts connecting and gets to region handshake and then fails. Is it just me, or anybody else having this trouble? Grid open according to blog and no maintenance planned. Try selecting another sim if you have that enabled in preferences Misti. _____________________

Try selecting another sim if you have that enabled in preferences Misti. Not sure how to do that. And still can't log in after an hour of trying and 2 pc reboots. |

Not sure how to do that. And still can't log in after an hour of trying and 2 pc reboots. In Preferences (Control P) on the General tab you should have a toggle for showing login or startup dialogue. Enable this, then on login you should get a drop down with home/last place visited/select region. This last one will allow you to put a name of a known sim in. A whole hour sounds a little suspect though. It's still region handshake that fails? _____________________

A whole hour sounds a little suspect though. It's still region handshake that fails? Yes, makes it all the way through to the handshake, and then fails. It tells me that the one server didn't receive packets from the other. Yes, I have the drop down window there, to connect to Home or different region. Problem is, I really don't know of any other region names to try. I've never really paid any attention to the regions names that I have visited. |

I'm starting to learn this. But I just didn't know if it was my internet connection not passing data or if it is sl. I can go places around the net, so probably not my pc. Sigh... |

I think LL almost see it as a challenge to invent new ways of not working to catch us out .. or am I just being paranoid?

Have you used support? I did ... I went to support, submitted a ticket, and then got reading around and read where it says that for non-premier account holders, all submitted trouble tickets will be deleted without being viewed first. And then I thought - how efficient. Well, I did my part, I did submit a ticket telling them about it. If they don't want to read it then I don't know what to tell them ![]() |

This will be my first time submitting a ticket, so I will see. I was just going by the statement that I saw after i submitted, that said: Please note that Basic account holders and Guests should only use the "Special Questions - Basic Account or Guest Login" option in the Ticket Type drop-down menu. All other ticket types from Basic account holders or Guests will be closed without review. |
