Hi guys...
Can any of you fine folks recommend a nice community style sim that offers rental homes/condos/cottages etc? Preferably a modern day town with a nice community feel to it. I know they're out there, but I find the best ones are found through word of mouth.
Thank you so much...

Thank you so much... Caledon, but there is a waiting list. IM Desmond Chang and he will suggest some others. Sarah Nerd has some lovely communities as well.

From: Royce Boa Thank you Raymond. I know about both of these, do you know of any others? Not personally, but perhaps Darien Caldwell or Skye Whitcroft does. Both are in the rental biz. Oh, you could try Rockwell Ginsberg and his Kush sims. My sim is a tropical beach paradise theme, but you could put a cottage down on it. TP to Liome inworld.

Tropical beach paradise sounds lovely.
I'll check it out, though I'm really looking for a complete little town (I found a remake of Seattle once...) with little streets to walk down, and little cafes and things...

Well, I'll make a shameless plug for my own home sim, Tipperary. In addition to me (which should be all the incentive you need) we have some fun characters living around here. Occasionally have spontaneous dances and get togethers, and I like to think the place is attractive, well-placed, but also open to the inspirations of the residents. Well-priced (I think) and so new there is no waiting list Tipperary Rental platform (overlooks the whole place) -- More details:

many of you have seen me mention the movix city
if you are looking for a bit trashy, complete with a small housing area, trailer park, office building, train system (that really works) a bar, a hotel, and even a newly added, with more to be added, carnival area, then check out the movix media sim
the city has it all, slum apartments, high rises, store fronts, offices, trailer park and some small homes.
can be modified (the homes area) to meet your needs as they are still not quite finished.
anywho have fun

Seconding Galveston Island

From: Gwendolyn Fonck Please take a look at Galveston Isle or Galveston Island. I'll second this sim. It is one of the most accurate re-creations of its RL community that I have seen as well as awesome builds. Rentals include Victorian syle homes of varying size, large beach front "bamboo type" homes and a modern condominium. Great community atmosphere with fun sights to see. There is a nice re-creation of Greenwich Village that includes rental brownstone apts. Same goes for London. Have fun shopping Oh, almost forgot - yes - Sarah Nerd's Nerdagara Falls. I've walked around there a few times...nice community there as well, complete with town, storefronts and apartments.
