When we bought our First Land, it came with automatic snapshots of the land's pristine state in the About Land box. Most of my parcels have lost those snapshots over time, (I assume) through joining and subdividing, or have had them replaced by realtor ads. I know how to replace the snapshots with textures I already have, but is there a way to
(1) Save the pristine snapshots that still exist down as textures, either to disk or to my inventory?
(2) Take new automatic land snapshots, not just camming around but with the same automatic camera angles over the land that produced the pristine snapshots?

Wouldn't know, but I reckon those original "First Land" shots may have been taken individually or more likely from a stack of generic land shots.
If the original image has no in-world connection or is in anybodys' inventory, I think it is removed from the asshat servers and into digital oblivion.

If you open up a texture you can click on File > Safe Texture to Disk , excuse me if I don't have the wording exactly correct

Those pictures are taken by LL, and you can't save them. You would have to leave the land intact and make sure it's joined properly if subdivided. It's like profile pictures - just because you see them doesn't mean you can save them.

Thanks, Cristalle! I was afraid of that, but figured it was worth asking.
The shots aren't generic... you can tell they're the actual parcel, but I somehow doubt there were Lindens going around taking manual snapshots of every single parcel that ever went up as First Land. So I figure it must have been automated in some way. Ah well.

You can change what textures to display in the land you own, so the previous owner added the shots. I think it's in the media tab, but am again not inworld to check.

No, I'm not talking about the textures players can add, but about the ones that were included with First Land parcels -- parcels that haven't had any previous owners except for LL. But thanks anyway.
