Can someone point me in the direction of a translator please?
 I have no idea what ya'll are talking about most of the time! I've been trying to find a glossary that will keep me from having to interrupt every conversation to ask "what the heck is _______ " but coudn't find anything that was really useful. Anyone know a good site, forum, resource that can help? Thanks! G |

Every time you think, "nahh, I'll sound so stoopid", you're depriving all the other viewers out there scratching their heads over the same thing (me, usually) a Moment of Enlightenment. Not to mention depriving some Old Hand a warm moment of pleasure in sharing a bit of knowledge. |

Thanks to the links, I now know what camping means (in reference to SL, not WoW or the forest), I sorta get what a HUD is, and I got the Ruth thing down now.

I'm thankful the Old Hand's are around to help and I expect I will be calling on ya'll often! |

As a noob, you are sort of like a virtual 12 year old. Just alert enough to see that you don't have a clue.
Like everything else in SL, time flies faster than RL. You will virtually age at a rate of about 1 year per week. So, in 9 weeks, you will be a virtual 21 year old, and think you know everything. Give it another year, and you might actually know something. |
