Hello,

I recently bought a TV in order to display streaming media on for presentations on my land. The TV stated that it worked on Group owned land but first I had to deed the TV to my group. BUt the deed button is greyed out, even when I click share with group.

Could anyone shed any light on this?

Thanks a lot!

Are you the Group Owner, or in another Role that has the Ability to deed objects to group?

Are you sure the TV needs to be deeded and not a tuner? My experience with TVs has been that the TV stays in the owner's name and normally there is a small box called a tuner or dvd player that get's deeded to the group. Otherwise the TV would have to be transferable, if I'm not mistaken.

I am not the group owner, But I have the ability to deed objects. I can indeed deed objects I create ot the group, but just not this object.

There is also no tuner.

Also, I just tried to open a box filled with other objects I had bought, recieved the message "you do not have permission to copy those objects to that inventory" and all the objects were deleted.

I'm trying to like this software but it's bugs are getting me down :-/

Something is very odd here. For the TV, the symptoms suggest that the object is no-transfer (instructions to deed notwithstanding).

The error with the purchased box of objects sounds very much like something that could happen if there were a script trying to give the no-copy inventory. Just to make sure: this arose when simply right-clicking and Open, before doing Copy to Inventory? (If it was from the "Copy to Inventory" action, then there should be a top level folder in your Inventory named for the object, containing the items that used to be inside the object--which may be obvious, but the question would be whether the folder got created without the contents or if just no folder appeared at all.)

If you still have problems get in touch with the seller. There could be something in the contents that has a wrong permission set,It happens and I am sure they can sort it out for you.

In very rare circumstances permissions reset themselves when objects are transferred. Over the past 2 years I had three cases where buyers suddenly found objects being no-mod which I am selling with modify ability.

Best bet: Contact the seller and ask him for help.
