Looks Can Be Deceiving...

While Mt. Pomponio may appear dormant, there is molten rock gurgling not too far below the surface. Check out this lava vent that appeared many months ago in the cove near Osprey Therian's land in Bodega. Her parcel lies just east and slightly north of the volcano.

I wouldn't be surprised to see it come back to life at some point. Perhaps a cue from the neighboring Mt. G'al in Mahulu would speed things along? Anyone want to make the first sacrifice? Be sure to take pictures!

I'm still kinda young, but Mount Pompano has always kinda looked like dat, unlike the volcanos in Ichelus or Mahulu,

The solution to getting it going again is simple... we need to sign it up for an account so it can log into the forums, then we introduce it to a couple of flame wars. That ought to get it boiling again and leave "all kinds of things floating in it."

I dont know what the actual answer is.. I just know LLs response was at best...flaccid.

That's a very good way to put it, and now I know why we still haven't seen the promised blog entry...

...the Lindens are still waiting for their shipment of Lie-agra to come in to firm up their flaccid reasoning.

Here's what I learned from what was once the SL History wiki:

http://secondlife.wikia.com/wiki/Pomponio
Pomponio is one of the first sims to have an active volcano inside it. Before being auctioned, there was nothing more than some smoldering activity inside a large crater. However, once purchased, it erupted violently.

...and from Snapzilla:

P.S.: Note that its spelt "Pomponio"
