House is biting back

Yesterday my house started returning stuff to me, at first I thought my boyfriend might be throwing me out but he assures me its not him *grins*. Its only my random stuff thats being sent back nothing is happening to my bf's stuff. In all 7 items were returned, but the IM only individually named 2 of them, there were 2 other lines that said

The object 'Second Life' has sent you a message from Second Life:
Your 3 objects have been returned to your inventory lost and found folder

The object 'Second Life' has sent you a message from Second Life:
Your 2 objects have been returned to your inventory lost and found folder

When I logged into SL I crashed immediately so when I relogged they weren't in my Recent items or in Lost and Found. On checking the house I found a few ramdom items that were missing and dug through the inventory to put them back out again but I only managed to find 4 small 1 or 2 prim items. One sofa that it returned is completely missing and I still haven't discovered what the other 2 are yet

I logged out of SL for a bit and when I returned I checked the parcel to find 20 prims were missing. We are well below the limit on our prim count and its only my stuff thats being sent back, and I only rezzed 6 prims when I put back the stuff that had been returned

My BF wasn't online, the house security was set to throw out anyone not on the list so I have no idea whats causing this. Anyone have any ideas before we end up the the divorce courts before the wedding!

How is the land set up as far as ownership goes, does the parcel belong to your boyfriend? If a land owner rezzes something that makes the parcel get over the limit, other people's stuff will be returned to make room. (this would happen most likely by moving or dropping something into the parcel, Sl would complain if a rez attempt was made and it was full.)

Or if it's group land like a rental, someone else could have driven it over in a similar way.

Have you done all the usual things like clearing cache a few times, gone looking at your sim's zero point(don't forget to look under the ground with your camera too), any mysterious multi prim icons in Objects or any folder where they don't belong?

Give it a day or so and see if your missing objects magically re-appear. Did you check your Land settings to see if any had been changed(play Twilight Zone/Outer Limits music here)? Were any of the objects not set to group?

Be prepared if they never return back home to your inventory. Everyone sooner or later loses stuff out their inventory due to the unknown forces of the virtual world. It just happens without any obvious reason. And it is a possibility that your objects have zipped into someone else's inventory. I had a friend who found a yellow car in a folder. He hadn't bought a car yet, so this one couldn't possibly be his. Checking the transaction report proved that he hadn't bought a car, but there it sat. He showed as the owner, so there wasn't a way to find the real owner and return the car.

Wait 24 hours and then see if the objects have come back.

Oh yes, have you taken a look above your parcel to make sure nobody has overlapped into your parcel and are using some of your prims? I saw a mega prim sculpture up above 3 sims once and it was using quite a few of the available prims. Turned out some squatters were having some fun. You couldn't get rid of their prims until the landowners banded together to auto-return the squatters stuff. I guess one of the landowners had been building with friends and forgot to reset the land permissions. The squatters stumbled upon the opportunity and took advantage of it.

Quite often, the items could be returned and just called "object". Even though it says it's only one object, in your inv, it may contain all your missing items.

Search by date order in both your lost & found folder and your objects folder.

in the inventory window go to File/Show Filters. You can adjust "Days Ago" to simulate Recent Items.

if you are both in a group for the land or are on a private island and in the sims group make sure you have your tag on when you rez things..
permissions could be set to where you need to be in that group to drop items down..

also a way to find items that were sent back are...go to your recent items..then up to file and click show filters..then at the bottom of that window that pops up you can go back in time using hours or days and it will show things that may have been returned to you ..

Firstly, is the land group owned? If it is, check to see if you have your group title up when you rez things.

Second, if it's not group owned, check the land info. Maybe the bf turned on the autoreturn and failed to tell you? Then it'd only return your items and not his.

Third, if the land is over prim limit, it will return items not owned by the land owner, so check the prim amount on the land.
