..is anyone else having this problem? I've been trying to log at my 'home' since around 8pm SLT last night and have tried again a moment ago - still getting his message.

I can't see that there's anything posted on the blog - so is there anything i should be doing, re. my laptop/router settings?

Any help or advise gratefully received.
Warmest Regards

What sim is your home?

If it's a private sim, it could be down due to problems...or because the owner closed it or had it closed due to tier

Somehow I thought it would try to find a different sim to login if it couldn't find the one requested.

It's certainly possible that network configuration could make it impossible for the viewer to get a connection handshake from any sim. If there hasn't been any change to the configuration, I'd first try power cycling all the network gear. If that doesn't work, I'd suspect a firewall having somehow taken an unhealthy interest in some ports used by the traffic between the viewer and SL.
