SL has been acting up ever since the forced update, but now I cannot even stay logged in. I crash less then 60 secs after. I filed a ticket, but I am not sure if I will get much help since I am basic. Would it do any good to post it here? I already posted in Tech help forum with no response. I know I should probably be patient, but I have WORK to do in SL! I have all of the error messages and all of my CPU info. I just don't want to bug you all with it, if it is useless. Thanks.

Have you checked JIRA for similar issues? Sometimes people post solutions/workarounds in the comments.

The update had to do with security...so according to my Resident Geek, look for problems related to security stuff.
For example, are you running a software firewall? Or even two? If you have a hardware firewall in your DSL modem or router, you don't need them, and they may be causing the problem.
Check to make sure your OS is up to date...XP Service Pack 3 is now available.
I'm getting a lot of reports of the new version crashing at random, or crashing on teleport...but it's not universally true, because things are working fine here (cross fingers, knock on wood).

I filed a ticket or whatever with JIRA and I am using Vista, not XP.
The firewall thing could make sense, I will check into it.

From: Rhi Rossini I filed a ticket or whatever with JIRA and I am using Vista, not XP.
Tickets are filed on the Support page, JIRA is the the bug reporting system...completely different things. https://jira.secondlife.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa

Well, I entered my issue into Jira, and I filed a ticket with Linden Labs. But, I am a basic account holder so who knows if I'll actually get help. I will look at that link you gave me now, Ann TY
