Laughs hysterically. My partner installed a vista patch on his Mac in an attempt to decrease problems with crashes. Now on his screen he, and most other people, are showing up as eyeballs and hair. attachments attach to the invisible body. Any thoughts on what is causing this?? He looked just fine on my screen

Is he running Vista on the machine (via Boot Camp, perhaps), or did he actually try to patch the Mac OS with a patch meant for Vista?

If it's the former, then I'd say just roll back Vista to an earlier date via System Restore. Should take just a couple minutes.

If it's the latter, then (no offense) about the only thing I can think to say is that your friend is a certifiable moron, as your laughing would seem to indicate you already know. I'm not an OSX expert by any stretch, but my guess is the safest thing to do would be to back up all data, wipe the hard drive, and reinstall the OS from scratch. That's the only way to be sure all traces of the incompatible patch have been removed.
