Annoying blogger posting/SL Snapshot Problem

I'm trying to use the email feature of Blogspot to post remotely to my blog. It works great with other posts, but when I use SL to send the picture it comes out all funky. The links work great yet the photo doesn't post. I assume this is probably a problem on the blogger end because the photo might not even upload there.

Has anyone found a work around for this or am I stuck doing it the hard way?

Send yourself a snapshot, to your email address, to see what the problem is.

When we send a snapshot we aren't just sending an email message with an attachment.

When I checked this years ago the message includes a bunch of little gif files to make something that looked like somewhat like a postcard. I don't really recall if it looked like a postcard, but there was a number of little gif files to be the corners and edges of postcard. Maybe somebody else has some old postcards to check on.

Now it looks like an html page.

Snapzilla is a fine place to send SL postcards to for showing up on the web, it uses the subject and message fields in a sensible way, and you can get the picture forwarded to flickr if you want.

Secondblogger.com will also work if you want to have your blog post appear in a communal blog.


It would be nice if the viewer would let us send a plain old email message with an attachment.

Sluniverse has some kind of miniblogs, maybe Cristiano can direct sl postcards to the sluniverse blogs instead of to the snapzilla pages.

Doesn't work for me, either. Emailing pictures works, emailing to Flickr works usually, emailing to Snapzilla works. Perhaps we need to inform Blogger. /me takes off her shoe with renewed Blogger-pounding in mind.

LL has an office near the Google folks. Maybe someone should walk over there an get 'em to make blogger work with SL postcard/snapshots, and Wordpress.com while they're at it.

who posted on the official Google blog about writing a firefox extension that dealt with blogspot blogs. He would at least know who to send a feature request to.

Of course if we could get Philip or someone on the Linden staff to speak to someone at Google/Blogspot that might be more effective.
