I am guessing this has been asked before, but I cant find the thread and its been a very long frustrating day.
I make stuff..nooo tell me it aint so...well I do..an I want you all to buy it...well I can dream ..
Anyhow..you cant even see it if it dont show up on a search...can you...*sigh*
Ok what did I do?
I made a decanter. I put it in a box with a note card on what it is, a landmark to my store, and a give script. I named the box the same as the decanter with some description (name of decanter - crystal decanter - name of box - crystal decanter 2 prims decants matching scripted glass) I put a nice description of what is in it on the description line. I set it for sale for 100 lindens and put it as searchable. Two days ago.
I made a decanter. I put it on the floor. I put a glass of liquor in it, a give script and a note card of what I have for sale. I gave it a very unique name (Danziger Goldwasser decanter ). I gave it a nice description (champaigne, dragons blood, chateau d'yquem, blackberry mead, blood wine, mages white wine, kumis, cabernet sauvignon). I set it not for sale, but findable on search. Two days ago.
Neither one shows up when I run a search...what am I doing wrong? How can I fix this? I am very new to merchanting and building, but even I can figure out, if you cant find me, you wont buy from me..or even tell me my stuff sucks rocks.
I went onto SL and updated the payment information on my account but still aint showing up. HELP???? PLEASE?

I don't know if this helps, but the Knowledge Base says: From: someone Objects
Previously, it was not possible to search for individual objects using the Second Life Search, but with the new version, you'll be able to search for individual objects and view their location coordinates. The default settings cause the Show in Search checkbox to be selected by default for any object marked as being for sale, although you're able to change this setting subsequently. Any objects not set for sale will default to having the Show in Search checkbox not selected. You can set any object you own to Show in Search regardless if they're set for sale or not, and vice versa. Remember: in order for objects to be searched, they must be included on a parcel that has its Show in Search checkbox selected.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

I did not know that the land or sim had a "show in search" box...I had checked it in the items...in all the items (opened two stores today..wish me luck)
But now I await answers from the people I rent from....
Thank you so much..I never thought to ask them that. At least I dont THINK I did anything wrong *grin*...but they don't call me troubles for nothin...
