has anyone else experienced this?

I have had these 15 full permission water textures for some time. Today I was helping a friend with particle water fountain and I noticed the permission had changed. For last year they were full. I can't change them.
Has anyone had this happen with a texture before or know what would cause this? I seen this happen with Linden textures but never another user.

Im not sure....., I was copying my wifes items yesterday which i have full control, after i copied the item I could no longer access that item.

Might be the same problem.... who knows

I don't think I have ever copied them anywhere else I wish though I had put them on notecards in my file cabinets in my studio now though.

I'm sure this is a known bug check out Jira.

This happened to me a few times over the weekend and not just textures purchased in world that had always been full perms, but also ones i made & loaded myself. I was making some furniture and went to take a copy and the copy and the original turned no copy/no mod/no trans.... i had all perms set to full on each item, but nope SL decided different over and over

I have a confession I have avoiding JIRA because I figured it would be hard, I need another password, everyone would be speaking in "Tech" speak that I wouldn't understand.
And I discovered its actually easier to use JIRA then I thought and you don't need entire new password or user name either you can use the one you use for your account here.
If you haven't voted before its really easy thing to do. Just hard part is finding your own
most annoying bug in my humble opinion.
I was a bit confused though with http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-581 because it's talking about objects not textures.
And they were saying there are ways we can unintentionally mess up our own permissions so this sort of really bugs me.
Perhaps I am mistaken?
Any way its critical thing that needs fixing but only has 3 votes.
One of things I hated about being Beta tester or reporting Bugs on finished virtual world or game site is I often run into a problem, you report it and often if not like a Computer Science major you don't know if its a bug or something you've done to cause the failure or you're just tired and seeing virtual bugs when you're not.
This often really, really drives me nuts

Lindens have figured out how to change their own textures in other people's inventory to change ownership even if it's isn't the owner's inventory but someone elses i.e mine. Which was pretty annoying because I uploaded paid the upload charges and I should be able to save or show templates to my friends from the main site as long as I am not selling them,etc. It
is about as annoying as if anyone using skins or clothes made with UV suit no longer had full permissions to share those textures on personal projects or whatever.
This isn't the case with this situation. I think. I assume I am still the owner. The creator is listed name I can't figure out is from Textures Unlimited.
My friend thought maybe the owner was paranoid and some how was able to change permission on textures from distance in everyone's inventory that has it but if this true then the July water textures made by the same people wouldn't be full permission. It just the AugTU Waterspray textures 1 to 15 that I have this issue with.
One would think if owner could do this it would sort of mess up her textured business.
I got these textures when I was very new from a freebie vendor.

It happened to me once about two years ago with some Egyptial Wall textures. I ended up Using a technique i will not describe here (Don't bother asking, i won't tell you How) to Copy them and regain Full permissions. I Bought, and paid for Full Perm textures. All i did was regain what was mine.

I have friend who knows how. Truthfully it doesn't take much to take any texture you see not that I have ever done this. It not that its that important to me it just annoying bug.
It annoys me that I have had problem with the textures like this until now in my inventory.
And what annoys me more is Linden's can protect there own stuff but if I give someone like Angel a painting and I want to change permissiosn after the fact remotely because I put the wrong permissions or I don't want it transferred to anyone else I can't but they can. Yet someone can wonder by my tiny village see a wall they like and retrieve it through their own video card. I don't sell what I make, especially my textures to anyone any more. Yet those who have full permission textures who I have given them to have shouldn't have to worry in year down round that the permissions are going to change if they are using them either.

it's this kinds of majorly serious problems that has desueded me from logging in for about a month now. (like mayby if i don't log in my stuff won't vanish)

i hate that i can't enjoy SL anymore.

I feel your pain Zen. There are days I don't log in but I have friends I miss so I don't stay away to long. I still enjoy my friends and creating in SL but I do find I take more breaks when things are failing more often.
