http://sirius.100webspace.net/peacockgate.jpgI am searching for a source where I can purchase this texture, if it is available in SL somewhere. I was contacted by an individual that has this in use on their building and they need some changes made. The original creator of the gate is apparently gone or unavailable for a while. If any of the various texture shops in world have this please let me know so I can contact them.

I know my partner (Fatima Ur) has that texture, but she's not around until Friday. No idea where she got it though.Inc

That is definately the original source for that texture. Thank you for that link. Now if I can just find someone in SL with a texture of that. If not I guess I can try to work up a texture from that photo.

That is really nice image. I would love to figure out how to draw a version of it but someone in copyright thread said even drawing copyrighted image could technically could get me into trouble even if I didn't plan on selling it. Darn, I guess if I do I better not upload it If you go to Chicago would you go photograph it for me and share? Inc's wife has lovely peacock stain glass door on the haunted house I did. I really loved the texture. If I had energy or time, I would have reworked it for Halloween eve I would made the peacock's eyes red and bit more evil.

Architectural details are not subject to copyright, I believe. Anyone can pass by and draw/photo them.

When it comes to photos:
If you take the photo yourself in RL it`s ok to use it and the objects in the photo. You will own copyright on that PICTURE, no one can use/redistribute your photo but you.
Same thing goes for whoever took the photo of the gate, they own copyright to that photo. You wouldn`t get in trouble because you used the gate, it would be that you would get in trouble for using a photo you didn`t own the copyright to.

Well, I am trying to locate this through legitimate means. I have had several offers to go copy the texture so far, but I would like to locate the textures creator. I feel pretty strongly about IP, and I am not looking for someone to 'aquire' a copy of the original. If I wanted to do that I could do it myself.

use IMG tags rather then URL tags to put the photo into the post like this that is a nice door thing, just a control-alt-shift-t away from being yours
