basically put, here's what i'm wondering:
i bought a Tail item, which when you right click, a "Wear" option shows, and it says "Worn on stomach" now i bought another item that's worn on the stomach apparently (a weird ring thing, like a mini-hula-hoop), and when i push "Wear" on it, my Tail is removed. then when i push to Wear my Tail, my ring-hula-hoop-thing is removed.

PLEASE tell me there is SOME way to wear them both at once. a mod/script/add-on/beta/etc i don't care what it takes, i'll do it. in a game where customization is the biggest part of the game, it REALLY seems like this should be possible some way.

thank you.

Attach one item to a different attachment point then edit it into position.

yea, i tried that, but both have animations. if i attach it to a differnt part, and move the position to were it seems normal, the animations throw it off alot, and they look detached, or are going through my character. is there some other way? if not, is there a way to tell EXACTLY where a item is meant to be worn on your character (like x,y,z co-ordinates), and then just attach somewhere else, and edit the x,y,z co-ordinates to match where it's suppose to go?

The creator attaches it to the spot he or she thinks will work best, but often the buyer changes the attachment point. Not all points are equal - some shift the object around as you move. Do a little experimenting and you will get to understand the way things work.

Right-click in inventory "attach to," or click on rezzed object for the pie menu.

as i said, i tried that, but the animations throw it WAY off for some reason.
example: i get my tail to be attached right, i run and everything, it looks normal, but when i jump, my tail appears about 4 feet above my head for some reason.
there really isn't a easier way?

and no, both are non-modable. if they were, how would it help?

If it were possible in the permissions you could link the two then wear on one point, but I doubt that's the case.

I bet a furry creator could help you. IM the creator or maybe a furry will turn up to answer here.

Well, linking things makes one object out of multiple prims. So, if you had the two objects and selected them then linked them (cntrl-L) they would be one object - however I'm not sure both anims would work - maybe just one.

hmm, worth a shot. i just equipped them seperatly, and both have a check box called "Edit Link Parts" enabled. is that what you mean? if not, what exactly do you push ctrl l on? the item in the inventory list?

The items are animated in what way? Is it possible that when you moved the tail you had it upside down?

Well you can't link things you are wearing even if they are mod. To link (say) 2 cubes, rez the cubes, select both, the hit cntrl-L on your keyboard. The last selected prim will glow yellow - that's the root prim.

no, i didn't. the tail swishes like a regular tail, and the hoop thing rotates in a circle around the character.

What happens if you attach the tail as it was at first, and attach the hoop elsewhere?

the hoop appears whever it was attached, then i try ti move it to where it's supposed to go, then when it looks normal, i try to jump/fly, and the hula hoop appears on my head....

I don't know if this helps, but my collection of tails all attach at either the stomach or pelvis...move them anywhere else, and they exhibit odd behavior.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

You CAN see the position of the attachment relative to the attach point. If you right click and choose 'edit' on your attachment at the very top you will see red, blue, and green coordinates that show something like -0.002, 0.233, -0.123 or some other combination.

I am guessing that the reason why your attachment jumps around if you attach it to a different body part is because the attachment is displaced very far from the new attachment point. For example. If you take the tail, normally when attached to the stomach it's offset is something small like 0.001, 0.002, 0.015 because the root prim of the tail is pretty close to the zero position of the stomach. Now if you disconnect that tail and attach to say... your chest and then move the tail back down to your butt the offset will look something like 0.021, 0.072, -0.511 ... Which if you'll notice it is half a meter away from the chest. Even a small rotation on the chest will result in a large movement in your tail.
