Does anyone know and can send or direct me to any fre texture changers that will only change one side of a prim?.........I have a hollowed out globe that I want to be able to change the exterior surface without changing the interior.........I have seen some of these for sale but thought I would check here to see if free ones existed before I bought one.
Thank You

Take a look at this script which will change the texture on all sides of a prim.
http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Texture_Menu_Management

You would need to change this line on the script from ALL_SIDES to the face number you want changed. Every side or "face" of a prim has a specific number from 0 - however many faces the prim has: llSetTexture(message, ALL_SIDES);

Take a look here for more info: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlSetTexture

You don't need anything scripted. Just go into editing the object, then click the 4th circle down on the left (Select Texture). Then click on the side you want to texturize and the box will come up with your inventory texture allowing you to apply it only to that side.

I'm interested in adding this as a feature on my build for customers which is why I'm looking for a script to put in so they can change the textures on the inside of the sphere......Sorry if i didn't make that clear.

You just need to change ALL_SIDES to the number of the face you want to affect. If the sphere is just hollowed (no holes in it caused cuts, dimples or whatever), the inside is 1; I have an idea strange things happen to the numbering if there is a hole in it and I can't get in to check, so if there is a hole, you might need to experiment.

Yep you would use the exact same example script but change the ALL_SIDES at the bottom of the script to the face/side number of your prim. So in the case of a hollowed out sphere, it would be face number 1 (inside face of the sphere). So that example script, modified for what you want to do has the ALL_SIDES replace by the number 1. You would just change that number depending on which side/face of the prim that you want the texture to change.
