I use many other forums and play many other MMO's and even SL itself runs ok so I think it rules out my PC and connection, but these forums are bordeting on unusable for me, I typed this entire sentence then hit return and waited for it to appear.
I tried logging into the forums on disused alt's and get the same result, I tried deleting a few pages of my subscribed threads with no improvement.
I also can't log out of the forums unless I gor back to the main SL website to do so.
I'm hoping it's just some bug at LL's end and it will get fixed eventually.

I find the forums are very,very slow on IE8, but ok with IE7 and Firefox - no idea why.

Hmm that could be it, I've been using IE8 ok for a month or so, but there was an update last week.

Interesting, plenty of people on the blog and over at Xstreet have been complaining of slow loading, I haven't experienced anything different, loading fine but this is the first time I've seen someone mention a browser.
Running fine for me on Firefox 3.5. |

Running fine for me on Firefox 3.5. Yes - forum runs ok on Firefox, but on IE8 the pages load soooooooooo slowly! I keep thinking I must have something set up wrongly, but I can't find what it is. _____________________

Mine has just fixed itself overnight, it was nogood last night and now it's great again. The only thing I've done over the last week is gradually delete about 500 old subscription threads, but that didn't seem to have any effect and took ages to do with the lag. Now it's good I deleted another 200 in aunder a minute. _____________________
