Hello residents! I am looking at getting into combat/role play in SL and I have noticed there are several systems (orlev, dcs2, ccs, etc.). Can anyone explain the differences? Which one "officially" inflicts damage in damage enabled areas? Which ones are most used? Which ones are the best (of course I realize this is a personal opinion)? Etc.? Many thanks in advance,
Rock

CCS and DCS2 are the major popular combat systems. They both have their strengths and weaknesses but for pure impact damage they are quite similar. They mainly differentiate on the special abilities and effects that your character can perform such as healing, spells, etc.
They all work on non-damage enabled land and I would imagine on damage enabled land also. Really though it is very unusual for metered combat games to use the built in damage meter. There are a few combat sandboxes that rely on it but why would you need another meter in that case?
