I have just got skins that I want to use. Howtos say to just "wear" the skin - when i do this i just get an image of the skin attached to me  What am I doing wrong? Thanks. |

it sounds like it is boxed, if the icon looks like a small box in your inventory, you need to unpack the box.
to do that, drag the box out of your inventory, onto the ground (you need a place that allows building to do this, my store, linked in my signature here, allows building, as do sandboxes, and a large variety of other places)
anywho, drag and drop it on the ground, then right click on it and choose open, then when the window opens, click the copy to inventory.
this will make a new folder in your inventory, that is the same name as the box, and it will have everything that was in the box, now in the folder.
take back the box, or delete it (your choice)
now, open the folder in your inventory that you just made by opening the box.
pick a skin you want to wear and double click it
you can also right click the skin and choose wear
or drag it from the inventory and drop it on your avatar (I do not recommend this, due to the fact it can cause booboos especially when you own items around the area)
(you can accidentally drop things into items, or onto other people, when you try to drop it on yourself.)
