I would love to know if anyone else has seen anything like this?

I posted a video of SL running on an iPhone. It's a bit rough, but once Apple releases the SDK, all sorts of cool things are likely to happen. Anyway, the video is here if you want to see it:

Neat video!

About the blog, though...

It doesn't render correctly in FF2, and not at all in IE7 :(

If I could figure out how to attach images, I'd show you the screenshots.

[EDIT] Here's the screenies:

I hate to be cynical, but as bad as my SL addiction is I can't imagine ever wanting to use something that small to get onto SL or any other game except to check the most basic of needs such as messages.

I agree it would be too small for sightseeing, but if product deliveries ever bork again as badly as they did a few months ago it would be really handy. I hated making customers wait several hours or overnight just because I was away from home.

Yeah I always assumed it was to do with SAILING, Poop :)

I really don't need more things to make me lust after an iphone - I already have suppressed so very many reasons! :)

I have an iPod Touch, which is essentially an iPhone without the phone portion (or camera). I use the mail client all the time to answer IMs when I'm offline (Gmail account linked to my SL account).

Ajaxlife has an iPhone page, but at last count, it didn't log in yet.

I do the same with my mobile using remote desktop ...the official client (indeed) does not have an appropriate GUI so you may want to use a custom one to have a limited number of buttons and menus (to not talk about the screen resolution to use on a 3" screen... i have an HTC Touch Cruise with Windows Mobile 6). I'm connected to my home PC via OpenVPN and HSDPA connection and the official M$ Remote Desktop. It isn't really "SL on mobile" but you can actually use (kind of...) the client remotely.
For chat pourpose it's reccomended to use a text only client... but it's nice to actually see the "world" while you're waiting the next plane. :D
