Hi
If I have money in the L$ bank, and money in my L$ "pocket", how do I transfer it to another avatar in SL?
Can I send bank-money or pocket-money to them when they are offline?
Is it safe to do this? Are there security issues, etc? Hackable histories?

You can't transfer US$ to another avatar. You may transfer L$ by clicking on them and choose PAY. You can do this as well by looking up their profile in Search and click on PAY button at the bottom of the page. Yes, you can do this while they're offline.

Is this transaction (profile pay) hackable? Trackable? Can anything go wrong? Oh, and can L$ transfers be done via the website interface?

You can search their profile, click pay and type the number amount in Linden you wish to send to them.
Yes it's trackable by the Linden Lab staff. Other players cannot track it. The person you sent it to can 'track' it by looking in transaction history. I think when they are online their pop up window will also say "___ paid you $__ "
I'm not sure what you meant by 'tracking.' ;p
Via website, I don't think so, but maybe someone else knows for sure.
I heard of something called a 'wallet' too, but the sound of it makes me nervous.

You should "friend" your alts so you dont have to search for them each time you want to pay them. They don't have to be inworld when you send the friend request. They will get it when you log on as them.

Looking to launder some stolen $L? Don't try it. LL can track every $L, and they come down hard on counterfeiters and those who accept money from them.

I will just add that a new AV sending large amounts to another can trip the risk API and lock both of their accounts until it's checked.

From: Domitan Redenblack Bank is the (L$) bank, and avatar is my "pocket" But what do you mean by "the (L$) bank"? Your avatar's Linden balance is displayed at the upper right of your SL viewer screen. It's also displayed to you on the control panel when you log in to the website. That's what your avatar has. Do you mean something else by "the (L$) bank"? (You might also have a separate balance on XstreetSL.)

Every avatar has a transaction history. You can login to the SL website and see your transactions for the past 30 days. It has the name of the person and amounts of the transaction.
