Have you tried calling them and explaining?
"If you have a billing issue with your Second Life account, you can call our Billing team at: toll-free (US/Canada) 800-294-1067 or long-distance (not free) 703-286-6277. They're available 24 hours a day, seven days a week."

I think there is a way that you can do it for up to 30-days with your on-line account. Don't quote me on that one. Just open secondlife.com and click on account and have a look around. Never cancelled mine before but I know others that have and that is where they resurrected it at.
Good luck honey, I am sure you will figure it out. The next time you get frustrated don't cancel your account, just step away for a few days. I do that now and then just for a breather because I love sl wayyyy too much.

When is your next billing date? You'll still have access to Live Chat and other Premium stuffies until you reach that date.

I don't want to derail this thread but my question does deal with sl accounts....and I don't think it is worthy of a new thread
...If I get a new computer this weekend and download sl.....will I have to start over with another noob avi or does it allow you to enter an existing avi? I don't know because I've only used sl on one computer.

Avs aren't linked to the viewer...you can log in under a preexisting account.

From: Toapz Saunders hi all I got mad and cancelled my account yesterday....now i want to reactivate but don't know how.........help please. By the way I have a Premium account. Topaz, Been there as well. You should be able to go to your billing information page and turn the account back on. Go to My Account then "Upgrade/Downgrade" option on the middle right. From there you should have the option to reactivate. It's going to cost you 10 bucks, however, but that's what we get for being impulsive when we're angery. I'm not certian, but I *think* you can submit a ticket to have the cancelation aborted if you have not hit your billing cycle yet. That way, you won't have to pay the reactivation fee. Being a freeloader with a basic account, i did not have that option. ========= Below for reference only ============== From: someone Your Account: Yosef Okelly
Cancel Account We're sorry you're thinking about leaving Second Life. You know, you don't have to cancel. You are already a Basic Access Account member and you don't have to pay anything else to enjoy it.
Wait, how did this happen? The Basic Access Account is FREE so there's no need to cancel. If you remain a member, you can come back and visit your friends whenever you want, check out what's happening at Second Life, attend events and buy stuff. All for no additional cost. Nada. Nothing.
Still Want to Cancel? If you still want to cancel your account, click the cancel button below. You can reactivate your account by May 4, 2008 your land and in-world objects will still be there, waiting for you. If you reactivate by June 3, 2008 your Second Life name, avatar and inventory items will still be yours. After June 3, 2008 if you decide to rejoin Second Life, you will need to begin with a new account.
[Cancel Account: Yosef Okelly]
To cancel your account, click below to begin the process.
Reactivation of any cancelled account, including free basic accounts, will cost a one-time fee of $9.95.

I did it in a matter of a couple of minutes by calling billing. Of course that was last spring. things have changed so much since then, but I notice that you may still contact billing by phone.
It did not cost me any money.
