This is driving me crazy. Anybody else having trouble getting around?

I walk and don't seem to be going anywhere. I am walking in place and then SL decides to let me go forward. The last couple of days it has been the worst.

Is it just me or is anybody else having the same problem. The thing is I am the only person in the region right now so it can't be that there are too many of us.

And another thing, my radio stream keeps going in and out on me. Anybody else?

Both of these sound like symptoms of a flakey internet connection.

Are you on a wireless connection? Your internet connection may not be able to handle the bandwidth that SL requires. Try turning off the audio stream. Turning down the maximum bandwidth setting in preferences may also help.

I agree, lag and intermittent streaming has been high this week.

LL has put a new network design in place this last week (new IP subnet addresses). In the process of doing so, they've restarted sims in waves.

I would bet both of these have caused lag spikes. Hopefully things will settle down as LL shakes out their new addressing scheme and ... with any luck .. stops restarting servers in waves, which always causes some instability.

It's a long shot but if anyone else shares your connection and is using bitorrent that is the same symptoms. If not then as someone else said- flakey or high latent connection.

I am on a wireless connection although if I have to hard wire it I will, however, I have never come across this much lag and what not before, even with the wireless.

I'm also hoping it is just LL fine tuning their systems and all will be well soon. I rented one of my parcels and it is not good if my new tenant is going to have this problem too.

I've had this issue too, and for some reason it seems to be Havok 4 sims that are the worst affected. Everywhere else seems relatively ok, including my own land, so I don't think it's my internet connection.

Extremely frustrating as I like to build on a Havok 4 sim (wider linking is allowed there which is a huge help) and for the last few days I have done no building at all due to lag spikes.

On the plus side, my house is now spotlessly clean and all my ironing is done ;)
