So I was watching G4 and then they totally downed Second Life. I blame the 12 mins thing to the ammount of accounts to the total time. If they count the active accounts there would be allot more then 12 mins a month.

G4 is the sorry assed tech channel which used to actually deal with tech. It merged with another better channel, the former Tech TV and quickly went downhill. Now, between reruns of Cops, the Man Show and a number of failed FOX series, they show about two weak tech related series and video game trailers.

AHAHAHAHA and not only that but they stole their statistics from the errored ones originally put out by 'the yankee group'... there's a linden blog titled 'second grade math' about it even ignoring that the average user has a few alts, those numbers are off yeah G4 has been a waste all around for awhile now... if only they'd stuck to tech instead of silly japanese games shows, etc (not that ninja challenge isn't amusing, but come on tighten up the theme of the channel folks)

As said that information was not correct. LL could sue G4 for libel and defamation I believe. Very stupid thing to do not double checking their resources. It is strange they used those numbers to being the company that posted them retracted them within a few days.
Also yes, this is the Resident Answers section (were you post a question and residents answer it) of the old Resident Conversation forum.
To bad LL abandon the forums.

G4 has become a shell of itself over the last few years. Tech TV was a great channel, but the merger with G4 really killed it. Even the pre-merger G4 wasn't all that bad. It was a bit juvenile compared to Tech TV, concentrating mainly on things like game-play tips rather than actual discussion of technologies, but at least it had its focus and its place. Now it seems to have very little of either, unfortunately.
Even worse, it looks like G4 may perhaps even abandon the focus on gaming altogether in the near future. Apparently the powers that be at the network's owner (Comcast) have said they consider the topic of gaming to be "too narrow" for a TV channel, so they're coming to the rescue by changing G4 into a "general interest" station. Never mind the fact that video game sales have far exceeded movie sales for several years now. Just ignore the fact that the gaming market has practically zero attrition, making for what perhaps could be one of the largest captive audiences in the world. Forget all that. The subject is narrow. Yeah, that makes sense.

I dont even OWN a modern day console!! *my pc blows them away anyhow  * Even the women on G4 arent as "geeky cute" as they used to be.

One of the thigns they crowed about is dat the average user spends 13 minutes on the site. I was kinda surprised dat 1 minute is the difference between being panned an being praised. Nevermind how far off the 12 minute ting is. Mari

The only thing I used to watch on G4 (Or Tech TV for that matter) was X-Play/Extended Play or whatever it's name has been during all it's infinite changes. Oh, and that tech show with Leo, otherwise, eh. Sadly, I have no idea if X-Play or anything like it's even on there any more.
