simulator connection woes!

i receive this message whenever i try to connect "unable to connect to a simulator"

anyone else having this problem? my friend signed on to his account with my computer and he got on just fine...

Were you both loggin in to the same location? If not perhaps you could try logging in to where your friend succeeded?

Edit to add: there's also connection problems reported on the official blog at the moment
