Seems Lindex is broken again. Can't buy linden. Recently we were told to update the account payment method if we ran into this (last weekend?)...well that doesnt work either! Same CC I've been using for over two years and the account page says it isnt authorized....Funny they had NO problems charging tier. Anyone else running into this mess today?

Chantal, you need to contact your credit card company. For various reasons, many CC companies block payments to LL. It has nothing to do with a problem with your account, but rather a problem that your CC company has with LL. Calling them should only take five minutes and should resolve the problem.
Make sure you tell them what has happened, asking them if the (A) received the charge, and (B) approved or rejected it. If they rejected it, you need to work with them so that they will approve future charges from Linden Lab and Second Life. If they won't accept the charges even with your approval, you will need to find another payment method.

From: someone ...and another financial institution. I'm not sure that you can blame the banks. LL had been being used as a vehicle for stolen credit card money laundering. This is why LL was visited by the FBI, had to create the Risk API for L$ brokers, and have reduced many players to tiny or zero ability to convert L$ to US$. The credit card companies are treating Linden Lab like a huge liability because of their past conduct and corresponding losses; I can't really blame them.

This makes a lot of things make more sense. I couldn't buy L this week either, but I hope I can soon.
