Land terraformed - but terraforming turned off

Dropped down to ground level on my plot just now to discover a mountain has been built up in the middle of my plot.

I have terraforming turned off...

The last visitor to my plot at ground level is someone I had just ejected and banned out of my skybox an hour earlier (parcel banned too...)
- I also have fly turned off, so I'm not sure how she got up there - I just assume she flew up in a nearby plot and aimed her fall...

Is it possible for people to hack terraforming permissions?

Fly turned off only means you can not "start" flying there. If you fly in from next door or even teleport in while flying you can continue to fly as if nothing happened. Also, you can override the parcel setting from the admin menu.

Possible? Anything is possible given enough resources and time. But in the context of will someone be able to do it on a whim? No. My bet is either an SL glitch or the estate owner did something on accident.

If you fly into a no-fly plot, you will continue to fly until you land.

There is also a viewer setting that allows you to fly in a no-fly parcel.

I think there is a way for people to get themselves onto a property despite being banned. We probably shouldn't outline it here.

Some people can fly very fast with those jet pack things, though.

That doesn't seem right - a nearby neighbor has fly turned off and when I pass over his land I begin falling.

Just to add:

My land is mainland - so there's no estate holder or anything with permissions.

Its group owned land, but the group is just me and my alt.

-Second thing I did was check the group permissions to make sure it wasn't possible for anyone to join.
- First thing was to check parcel permissions and make sure edit terrain was unchecked.

As far as I know only me or a Linden should have land permissions.

The flight thing, person showing up at the skybox, etc... - that's separate. I just started thinking that person was the only person I could think of with a motive to do something, as its the first time anyone has shown up at the skybox, and the only time I've ever used the eject and ban function.
- and the timing. Unless I somehow missed that my Gazebo had a spike sticking up out of it, she was one of only a few people to show up down there during the relevant time.

That doesn't make ANY sense at all, unless they have some scripted pusher to force people down when they're flying.

I had the earth move for me on the weekend.. no, seriously! ;)

I turned up at the shop at zindra and the land had been re-arranged.

Have no idea what happened as I'm the only one with terraform rights and I haven't terraformed the plot in weeks.

I just put it down to sl playing silly buggers as is its wont.

The only thing I can think of is that the person you ticked off was a Linden Alt, and she took a bit of petty revenge.

Never forget...the Gods walk among us, disguised as ordinary mortals.

Is it possible that they joined an open group your land is deeded to, and discovered that the group role had terraforming ability?

I would have to think it is one of three things:

1. SL bug, weird things happen in SL all the time.
2. The banned person was a Linden alt and took revenge.
3. A rather well known scripted terraforming exploit.

Of the three, #1 seems most likely.

I know. This is one of the reasons why I didn't give you guys terraforming rights - one false click and there can be tears (I know this all too well, I've destroyed many a nice terraform down the years ;) )

I just put it down to general platform unpleasantness.
