Is there such thing as clothing that you can wear making you invisible? I'd like that.. but I guess your name would always be visible.

I've seen such a device being sold, in fact I think someone gave it to me, but I don't recall ever trying it.

more like invisibility prims worn as clothing, but they aren't really clothes, they are prims.

You can do it TWO ways
Way One : Wear a Invisi Prim (A Prim with TEXTURE of Pure Alpha) Way Two : Animation - Sticks you under the ground. Both are FREE dont pay for it the animations and alpha textures are available most everywhere newbies are sold_____________________
InSL u find every kind of no-life retard you could possibly imagine as well as a few even Tim Burton couldnt imagine u find 12yr-olds claiming to be 40 men claiming 2 be women, women claiming 2 make sense and every1 claiming 2 have ideas that are actually worth a damn if only someone would just listen to their unique innovative and exceptionally important idea

Not contributing to this thread in any way, it just reminded of a story of when a friend of mine tp'd me to a mall where he was wearing an invisprim he had just bought. He was all proud of it, telling me about all the things he was going to go do now that he was invisible. After a few minutes of walking around the mall I cammed around a bit and saw his new invisprim had a rotating lolcat about 10m above it....a kitten covering its eyes saying "You no can cee me".
I guess moral of the story is always make sure you cam around and check things out thoroughly before heading out to create mischief. |

and if your invisiprim is big enough, your name is also covered up. ... but then you run the risk of impacting other avatars visibility. Well, not that you did not already ![]() Mari _____________________

Invisi-prims can hide you, but a lot of things can cause them to show up. Anything nearby with an alpha texture will show the outline up. They don't hide attachments, which can give you cool invisible man type effects, where prim clothes are visible but the avatar isn't. If you pass in front of another av, they will go invisible too... apart from any attachments, which tend to make it obvious an invisiprim is around.
I haven't tested it, but it's possible that WindLight glow might mess them up too, given how it interacts with alpha objects. _____________________

Be careful... making yourself totally invisible may be against TOS. I remember reading about it a long time ago, but can't remember where.

I actually saw a Linden hiding under an invisiprim once. I don't recall who it was but his feet were sticking out the bottom of it and when I moused over them it came up as a Linden. I think he was there to check on some AR but it was kind of funny to see.

I believe Qie Niangao has one of the invisibility freebies (or nearly so) at his store, see his picks.

it's like the same thing with the heels on boots and shoes..if you go on a dance floor they stick out like a sore thumb.

I found this on SL Exchange:
Item name: Invisibility Prim/Script FULL PERMS! by Chris Knox URL: http://www.slexchange.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=416892 Price: L$0 It works. I need to investigate how it works though. I rezzed a prim, put a full-alpha texture on it, took it to inventory, wore it, and got nothing, as in I looked the same. This works differently and actually covers you up. --Hugsy _____________________

I remember in my first year in sl someone gave me an outfit that when worn made you invisable and it worked. I Have not worn it since so not sure with all the updates if it still does.
Also I learned to go into preferances and edit my name and tag to not show. When I used to play Tringo they would get in the way. I know my tag is invisable to others. They will always ask if I got the group invite when they send it because it doesn't show up to them. Not sure about my name but to me it is invisable. |

Check out Luskwood shop - there was a free invisiprim there.

I always thought it would be cool to sculpt all the body parts to fit my av and turn all those into invisiprims_____________________

You can say "it's big honest, it's just invisible". LOL Dekka, you think that line might work in RL? _____________________

and if your invisiprim is big enough, your name is also covered up. It has to be absolutely massive to ensure that it is covered from all camera angles - I speak from experience, having tried. This causes undesirable side-effects - not least of which is the fact that every other avatar in the room is also rendered invisibile if viewed through the prim. To lessen the visual impact on other avatars I made a full suit of armour out of invisiprims, instead of sitting inside a giant oval prim. _____________________

The other day I was at a club when someone rezzed an invisible MEGA prim...everyone in the club disappeared. There were only a few items, and hair waltzing around...it was annoying but funny.
So as suggested if you want to be completely invisible, you would want to unattach everything, and go nakie like the invisible man did. _____________________
