I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

My guess is that because transactions are borked again - it is easier to shut down then pay everyone back.

I had a failed transaction from Craig recently, he was extremely helpful and replaced the lost item immediately. He did say he will close his stores if he is aware of problems with transactions. So this is only a temporary measure I am sure.

Craig once again proves what a smart guy he is. If all the major retail on the grid did this when transactions fail, not only would it be easier for all concerned, but the stores could publish empirical commercial downtime statistics for the grid.

!! lol gosh - i hate to say 'that would be a good idea'. i couldn't do that at all my vendor locations - i have set up a way to shut down the whole chain when i want to, but takes awhile for it to prop its way all around the grid. :\

Craig has done it before and i think its sensible. He is saving himself and us a whole lotta hassle in the borktime :)

Craig is a smart man, many of us retailers could learn a lot by following his example

I myself do not get enough sales to warrant a shut down LOL

I can imagine what a hassle it is for places like gurl 6 and such, having to deal with the failed transactions :(

Of course there would be the small problem of them never being able to be open, since the transactions failed syndrome seems to have become the normal state of affairs

Lindens involvement in the closing?

A bystander told me that he asked the owner of Bits & Bobs how long he'd be closed, and he answered, "That's up to SL.)

he probably just meant that he would re-open if and when the Lindens fixed the grid so that transactions were working.
:)
