Looking for your thoughts on this..

I was thinking of using Onrez's highlighted item facility...where you pay a fee and it gets seen more/ highlighted etc..

Has anyone done this? Did you find you had more sales because of it?

thanks Fai x

I tried using some OnRez enhancements when they first came out. To be honest I don't remember which enhancements I tried, only that there was no appreciable difference in my sales, so I discontinued them.

On the other hand, if you can afford it, why not give it a try? As I recall it was all pretty inexpensive. Everyone's mileage will be different, based on your products, market, ads, et cetera.

Edited to add -- Yes, OnRez was SLBoutique. They changed in September. I've been using them since August. There was an understandable drop in activity with the name change, but since then, my sales there have increased steadily every month. In fact February, I had a drop inworld and on SLX but my OnRez sales continued to climb. It's still the smallest area of my business, but they seem to be getting more active all the time.

yes, slboutique is now onrez..and agreed..i think they are getting busier and busier. Ive made a lot more sales from onrez than slexchange, and i think thats because slexchange is SO big, products get *lost*? Specially if youre not paying to have them advertised etc.
Onrez still feels cute & cuddly to me..i love their website, its easy, i rarely have problems with it.

I think ill give it a whirl and see how it goes, as you said, its not big bucks

thanks!

So using their enhanced features does not help your product to be found easier like SLX where you can be at the top of the page?

My only big problem with OnRez is I can't (or I haven't figured out how to) download my detailed sales reports in any useful way. I can get them on the screen, but I can't find a 'download' button. With LL and SLX you can download as excell or csv respectively, but with OnRez I'm doing a screen scrape then sorting out the fields and columns by hand, which is a bit of a PITA every month.

To be fair though, OnRez does have some reports that SLX doesn't (like finding out your top selling items), so neither of them are perfect yet.
