Is there a vendor that will....

Give the buyer 2 choices - same object for sale but with different perms and prices.

Just as an example...

A tee for $5 - just transfer

A tee for $10 - mod and copy

Or a mixture of the mod, copy and transfer.

Is there a vendor that will let the buyer select the correct price with the different permissions...probably not asking it in the right way but hopefully someone will know!

The only way to do this is to put several copies of the same item, with different permissions, into a multiple item vendor.

The permissions that are given to the buyer are set by the "next owner" settings on the object for sale, and scripts can't change them.

I saw a vendor at a texture store once where you could by a group of textures for X amount but could alway buy a single texture too. Both at different prices. Just wasn't sure!

Actually, I know that Miriel has that option built into her eye vendors. You can choose size and permissions. Basically you choose to buy, then a couple more screens come up with the various options you click through. Don't know how it's done, but apparently it can be done.

Funny you mentioned that - I saw hers yesterday and yes it had a few options. I checked today and she made them. I should have asked her I guess if they were available. Probably not but may be worth a shot!

Couldnt' figure out the individual prices on them though - didnt' know what color it would give you.

The colour is also one of the options you choose in the subsequent screens
Wouldn't hurt to ask her, seemed like a cool system to me.

Ahh okay..I didn't get that far..I got the whole thing to be safe. It was a nice vendor and I wasn't expecting the options.

It's still done by having multiple copies inside the vendor. The ability to choose which permissions you get in the way you describe, is just a cleverly designed user interface.

You'd pretty much have to custom design the vendor, like they do with the vendors for furry avatars, where you can select gender and fur color and species, and sometimes other options, and it displays the correct product info and price for that combination of choices. In the end though, it's still multiple items in the vendor, with a user interface to select which one you desire.
