my magic boxes vanished from my sim 0.o

i got an e-mail from xstreetsl.com today where it said my items were unavailable and that that could have a number of reasons why. first time i experience this...

the first thing i did was log in and check my boxes but they were simply not there. i rent a homestead sim together with a friend and no one else has access to the sim. i have known this person for over two years now, i am confident he has nothing to do with this.

they were rezzed and working fine when i logged out the last time and the sim was empty until i logged in after getting this e-mail. to find out if my boxes were in the sim at all, as i have estate rights, i checked the list of top scripts. they always appear there, but now they didn't. they are not in my lost and found either. don't know why they would appear there but they're not...

nothing else has gone missing from the sim, things are as normal there, only my two boxes went poof. *scratches head*

i rezzed new ones. i hope they stay

has this happened to anyone else? i thought this was very weird...

Did you restart your region to see if they would reappear?

I suspect they will return after whatever virtual journey they decided to go on is over.

i didn't think to restart the sim to see if they returned, that was a good idea but the sim was restarted for other reasons a few hours later and after i rezzed the new boxes, but still there are only the new ones there...
