Ok I'm new to all of this so bear with me please. I have been working on setting up a clothing store and recently started setting perms for all of my items. Then i started to notice something strange happening.... When i change the permissions the clothing item (no matter what it is) changes to a shirt icon?!?! for example it will be a pair of jeans and it will go on like a pair of jeans but it shows as a shirt symbol. Anyone else having this problem? Since i do not sell my items boxed i fear it will cause many people to back out of the sale when they go to buy and the window opens up showing a bunch of shirts labeled as different items. What can i do here?

Try giving the item to an alt or a friend. How does it appear in their inventory?

This sounds like a really really old bug coming back. When I first started SL, I had items that would have one icon but would actually be something different -- a pair of pants with a shirt icon, a shirt with a shape icon, etc.. When I asked a few people about it, they said that there was a bug for a short time that did this to items and they were then that way forever unless they were completely recreated from scratch after the bug got fixed.
Don't know how long Jira has been used for SL, but you could try searching there to see if anything comes up. BTW - this doesn't really sound like a 'permission issue' per se, though the bug may be tied to the process of changing permissions. _____________________

It still shows as a shirt icon to other people, but like i said it goes on like its supposed to. I obviously have copies of everything, but i really wont be able to sell anything till this problem gets resolved i guess.... *sighs*

Yeah i dont know if you can call it a permission problem, but that is what seems to be causing it. as soon as a uncheck a box it changes  How would i go about reporting this to LL? |
